I've lived here going on 3 years. The maintenance can be stepped up. I have sent notes to the office and nothing happened. Communication can be improved. You should be doing once a year carpet cleaning at YOUR expense, when the lease renews. This should NOT be a tenant responsibility. Annual painting should also be done, until you use better paint. Using FLAT white paint is only asking for the walls to look like trash in a couple months. Using semi-gloss or glossy will make it last a bit longer and look nicer. All the appliances are cheap. Which means they are easy to break. Please understand you get what you pay for. The maintenance crew are not very intelligent and don't know how to repair basic things, or measure properly, etc. But they sure are quick to put a note on a visitors car overnight. This needs to stop! We're allowed to have overnight visitors and they shouldn't receive a note on their car threatening to tow them on the first night. Also, the shoveling and plowing needs to be done immediately when it snows. Not after 24-36 hours. If the crew can't get to the property in a timely manner, then you need to recruit residents to do it and give them a discount on their rent. One time the snow was so high and thick, I couldn't open the door to leave my building. This is a fire hazard, and can be very dangerous. A bucket of Salt should be in every building to use whenever necessary to prevent falls on ice. Your gutters need to be cleaned, there is a huge waterfall right at my building door every time it rains and there is no way to prevent getting drenched. Really guys, do better. If you want good tenants, be good landlords. Keep the property up and well maintained. If you want any further discussion, please feel free to call me.
